Handwriting & Fine Motor Development
Learning Without Tears Certified Handwriting Specialist
While many people know me as The Bike Lady, I’m also known as the Fine Motor Mama. As a pediatric occupational therapist, I provide individualized fine motor and handwriting support designed to help children:
• Improve grip strength and fine motor endurance
• Develop a functional pencil grasp
• Build coordination and control
• Increase confidence with writing tasks
• Reduce frustration and avoidance
• Remediate letter formation, size, line placement, and spacing
This is ongoing, skill-based work that happens over time — not quick fixes.
What to Expect
• Individual or small group sessions
• Personalized goals
• Parent/Teacher collaboration
• Home strategies when appropriate
• Progress tracked over time
Families often work with me for several months or longer depending on their child’s needs.
Some children struggle with handwriting not because they aren’t trying — but because their hands tire easily, their grip is inefficient, or their coordination isn’t fully developed yet.
